The Campaign

Save Patagonia is a campaign promoted by the Alliance for the Defense of Protected Areas, which seeks to remove salmon farming concessions within national parks and national reserves, without relocation.

We promote the conservation role of protected areas, which belong to all the inhabitants of the country. We are convinced that Chile requires concrete guarantees for the effective protection of Patagonia's protected areas and the fulfillment of the reasons for their creation.

We focus on ensuring that the salmon industry complies with current regulations, which means respecting both the Washington Convention, which protects protected areas, and the Law on General Bases of the Environment and the Law on Fishing and Aquaculture, which delimit the environmental and productive actions of companies.

We call on the entire community to take action to defend the protected areas of Chilean Patagonia. Patagonia's protected areas are at risk.
